Went to bowood with my great granddaughter. To go on the activity course. She loved it, I thought it was to high. There are several different hightes all connected and finishing with a slide. Also a pirate boat, a bouncy dome, and other activities for under fives.

Capability Brown at his finest! The grounds are lovely, leading to impressive formal gardens. Some interesting rooms to view inside as well.

Gorgeous building and house. Perfect to wander round with kids and the playground is brilliant. The leaves in autumn make the whole place feel special. A must visit

Very rude staff. Seem to have some sort of self entitlement. I would avoid at all costs or visit somewhere with polite friendly staff.

We now have annual membership and visit often.
The house itself is impressive, though not as much is open to the public as we would like.
The grounds and gardens are worth visiting even when the house is not open.

We came for my daughters 4th birthday, along with her 12 and 14yr old siblings. They all had such a great day!!! As did we! There's something for all ages there, we've already set a play date with friends to go again.

Lovely place to visit. Nice walk through the gardens to the house, where we were greeted by a guide who was very knowledgeable (Alex, you were amazing and I could have talked to you all day about the history). The views across the lake were amazing, and the walk down to the temple is steep in places but well worth it as the view across to the house is stunning.
I would recommend a visit to anyone.

Took my nephew to the Tractor Ted weekend. He really enjoyed it. The highlight being the tractor ride around the beautiful Bowood estate. It was really nice. I enjoyed it too! Not much of the original Bowood House left but the Orangery is stunning. If you adore historic houses this may be a bit of a disappointment. But if you love landscapes and gardens then its nailed in abundance!

Took my 5 yr old grandson to this wonderful place. Fantastic adventure play area. Well maintained and with safety elements first class. Gardens emacullate. Views to die for.
Cafes clean as was the toilets.
Will be returning again. A place for every age to enjoy.

We visited Bowood House with our 14 year old and our 6 year old. The House and grounds are beautiful, really well kept. The girls loved exploring the grounds and seeing the wildlife. The guides were really knowledgeable and friendly, taking the time to engage with both the girls and give them things to look for as we explored.
The play area was amazing, our 6 year old was in her element! Really lovely design with lots to keep little ones entertained. We could have spent hours in the play area alone!

I liked it but I’m not a garden type of guy went there with family. The playground is massive, the house looked amazing and the waterfall was beautiful. You could tell that everything is well looked after.
